Clark Fork Trip:

  • Camping and travel for the Clark Fork through the Alberton Gorge.
  • Starting July 1 and running through August 31 with availability seven days a week.
  • Clark Fork trips can accommodate up to 48 people.
  • Trips are available for groups, families and businesses of all sizes.
  • Individual rate $75.00 per person.
  • Groups of 10 or more $70.00 per person.
  • Groups of 20 or more $65.00 per person.
  • 20% nonrefundable deposit required to

Directions:

  • From Spokane / Coeur d'Alene, drive East on I-90 (all freeway miles) to Tarkio, Exit 61*.
  • At the bottom of the off ramp of Tarkio Exit 61*, take a right and follow the fishing access signs towards the river. Look for the Wiley E. Waters sign as you get close to the river for parking.
  • We meet at the parking lot at 9:30 am Pacific Standard Time. Please note: Montana is Mountain Time, but we still keep our schedule on Pacific time of 9:30 am (10:30 am MST).
  • *Note: Tarkio Exit is 61 miles into Montana from the Idaho border. Allow 2 hour drive from Coeur d'Alene.


Spokane River Half-day Trip:

  • Groups will enjoy a leisurely trip down the Spokane River on a fun-filled paddle rafting adventure. This half-day trip is affordably priced at $36.00 per person. Minimum group size of 5 individuals with a maximum of 50.
  • Trips run from mid May through the end of June.
  • Please call in advance for reservations.

What to Bring:
Most days will be dry and warm, but always bring clothes to accommodate you for unpredictable weather.
On cool days, you should bring clothes made from wool or synthetic material.
Note: Cotton gets wet and stays wet!

Warm Days:

  • Sunscreen and/or hat.
  • Polypro, or nylon shorts,or swimsuit
  • Tennis shoes, or shoes for wet conditions
 
  • Raincoat (waterproof)
  • Camera-film
    (bring waterproof bag)
  • Large Towel

Cool Days:
  • Sunscreen and/or hat.

Itineraries for Day and Overnight Trips:


Day Trip:

  • At approximately 12:30pm lunch will be served along a designated  beach.
  • At approximately 3:45pm PST, transportation will bring you back to the campground.

Overnight Trip:

  • Put in agenda for an overnight trip is the same as for the day trip. (Talk to guide for actual times.) This trip is at a more leisurely pace, with more time-spent sightseeing and for other outdoor interests. Swimming, Fishing, Camping...
  • At approximately 12:30pm lunch will be
    served at a designated beach.
  • At approximately 4:00pm PST, we will break for the day.
  • The Clark Fork offers a variety of camping options from tenting with no facilities to full RV accommodations. (Each trip planned to accommodate guests.)
  • Evening meals can be arranged or experience authentic Montana tradition at the rustic Lozeau Tavern. Spend the night around the campfire or visit nearby hot springs.
  • Put in for day two is one hour earlier.
  • At approximately 3:00pm PST, we will be back to the "take out" point.

Reservation Fee:
A nonrefundable deposit (20% of total cost of trip) will guarantee your river adventure.

Discounts:
Group discounts offered.

Cancellations:
If you have to cancel a trip the deposit is nonrefundable. We will be happy to discuss alternatives with regard to your cancellation.

Photo Opportunities:
If you would like some action photos of your trip, there will be a photographer by the rapids. These action pictures of your white water experience will be available at the end of the trip.

Wiley E. Waters makes every effort to assure that all trips are safe. However, river running has some risks, and Wiley E. Waters assumes no responsibility for personal safety or loss of equipment. All participants will be required to sign an assumption of risk acknowledgment form.
